Praia da Laginha 1

The village of Cavaleiro, which has several small shops, cafes and a restaurant, ia a 10 -15 walk away.
If you decide to turn toward the sea (a 15 minute walk) you will find our small but notable beach, Praia da Carraca, accessible by stairway. Continuing along the cliffs you can find isolated coves and beaches accessible down fishermen tracks for experienced climbers.
At 8, 12 or 18 km you find the bigger beaches of Almograve, Zambujeira do Mar, and Vila Nova de Milfontes, all of which are awarded the Bandeira Azul designation for their exceptional water quality.
These beachtowns are bigger and offer more services and numerous restaurantes, cafes and shops.
We know the surrounding area very well and can give you tips on special attractions to visit and interesting things to do.

Monte de Moita Nova, started 30 years ago, is located on the Cabo de (Cape of) Sardao, 800m from the village of Cavaleiro, about 200 km south of Lisbon and 130 northwest of Faro.
